About

I am a Slade School graduate who completed my postgraduate studies at Wimbledon College of Art.

I’ve been painting since the age of 6, have works in private collections both here and overseas and have been exhibiting since the age of 14, in London and Dorset, in both solo and group shows.

My work has appeared in many publications (The London Evening Standard, The Observer, The Sunday Times Magazine, London Time Out, Evolver, 50 Wessex Artists, etc) both as illustrations and stand alone images.

As a curator I learned my craft whilst serving a curatorial internship at a world class London gallery and by undertaking voluntary organisational work for two arts charities. I’ve personally represented three national and internationally renowned artists, set up an art group for adults with learning disabilities and have initiated, contributed to, consulted upon and overseen several high profile exhibitions throughout my home region, both as a former curator for Sherborne House Arts and as an independent practitioner.

In 2015-17 I consulted upon an audit of the visual arts and its further potential for growth in Dorset for Dorset County Council, The Arts Development Company and the Arts Council.

On first graduating I worked in advertising and media in London in order to clear my student overdraft and to support my work.

Unfortunately, some years ago, I developed a chronic pain disorder which now limits my active time. Since 2019 However, I have been helping to develop the Guggleton Farm Arts project in Stalbridge, Dorset (www.guggletonfarmarts .com) as Artistic Director, and painting in my studio, which is thankfully on site.

In 2019 we formed Guggleton Farm Arts CIC which is a Social enterprise Company formed to encourage inclusion and experimentation in the creative arts.

I have two children at University and am currently attempting, along with my partner John, the refurbishment of an old cow barn we will call our new family home.
